Cookies

The marketing site at milestoneproject.io (the home page and the Milestone Plans and Milestone Maps product pages) sets no cookies unless you accept analytics. It uses your device's own fonts and loads nothing from third parties until you choose.

Analytics (optional)

If you click Accept on the banner, we load Google Analytics, which sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_*, to tell visits and pages apart (they expire after up to 2 years). Google's advertising features and signals are turned off. If you Decline, nothing is loaded from Google and no analytics cookie is set. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings in the footer; declining deletes the cookies. See the Privacy Policy for what the data is used for.

The Milestone Maps page shows a live map that loads its code and map data from maps.milestoneproject.io, which is our own server. It sets no cookies either.

The apps are separate

Milestone Plans (plans.milestoneproject.io) sets strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in (milestone_session, and a short-lived milestone_ceremony during passkey sign-in). Both apps also remember display preferences, such as the map view and theme, in your browser's local storage on your device. These don't need consent and don't use analytics. When you pay, Stripe may set its own cookies on its checkout pages; see Stripe's cookie policy.
